For fun I hike in the breathtakingly beautiful Rocky Mountains, write my blogs, read voraciously, talk for hours with friends, listen to music, and try to learn to play guitar. I also pay weekly visits to a dear elderly woman to read to her, participate in Restorative Justice community circles, and volunteer with the probation department. And I served on the recruitment team of the Boulder County Circles Campaign.

I got divorced when my kids were 6 and 3. My son proudly serves in the US Coast Guard, and my daughter is in high school and lives with me full time.
