who knew?

okay, here's a great example of the kind of strange yet interesting and very cool information that I somehow encounter on a daily basis while I am surfing the web ---scientists investigating commonplace myths. A chicken can survive after its head is chopped off? click below to find out the truth about this and other interesting stories like a cat always lands on its feet when it falls, or it takes seven years to digest gum.

I could map out the chain of links that led me here, but I won't bother because it is so bizarre and convoluted .... suffice it to say that THIS kind of site is why I LOVE the internet!

oh, and while I am on the subject of science, this guy blew my mind.
www.brucelipton.com. I think his book is called The Biology of Belief, and he turns some long and closely held conventional beliefs about genetics and health inside out. fascinating and important reading.
